SPICEWOOD, TX, UNITED STATES, April 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Riverbend Homes, a second-generation family-owned custom home design and build firm headquartered in Spicewood, Texas, has completed the Sheets Residence — a traditionally styled custom home located in the Broken Hills subdivision of Horseshoe Bay, Texas 78675, adjacent to the Broken Hills Golf Course.
The completed residence sits within the Horseshoe Bay West subdivision on Lot W31008, a property determined to fall within FEMA Flood Zone X, placing it outside the 500-year floodplain. The project was developed in collaboration with Custom Design Services (Sustainable Building Design), with design work led by C. Klier and S. Bouvier under Job Number CDS19.0052.
Project Specifications
The Sheets Residence includes the following areas:
• First Floor: 2,044 sq ft
• Second Floor: 658 sq ft
• Total Heated Area: 2,702 sq ft
• Total Covered Area: 3,615 sq ft
• Total Slab Area: 2,824 sq ft
• Porch Area: 780 sq ft
The home features a two-car garage, a dedicated golf cart garage, a covered balcony, and covered front and rear porches. Interior spaces include a family room, dining area, kitchen, wet bar and pantry, wine storage, craft room, master bedroom with master bath and walk-in closet, two additional bedrooms, a utility and laundry room, mud hall, powder room, and storage areas.
Construction involved exterior demolition and modifications prior to new build, with attention given to recycling materials found to be in good condition. The project team included builder Everything Outdoors / JMI GC Inc., managed by James Irwin; structural engineering by ATS Engineers and Lake Travis Engineering and Inspection LLC, with licensed engineer Sidney L. Maxwell II, P.E.; and site surveying by Hambright Land Surveying. The property is served by fiber conduit and includes an underground 250-gallon propane tank.
The Riverbend Difference
Riverbend Homes has been serving residents across Spicewood, Horseshoe Bay, Briarcliff, Bee Cave, Austin, Marble Falls, Round Mountain, Johnson City, Lake Travis, Lake LBJ, Highland Haven, and Kingsland since 1996. Operating across Travis, Williamson, Hays, Blanco, Llano, and Burnet counties, the firm has built its reputation on a client-first approach that the company describes as the "Riverbend Difference."
Central to that approach is a commitment to limiting the number of active projects at any given time, ensuring daily on-site management by the Riverbend team throughout each build. The firm also provides design services, guiding clients from initial concept through final construction.
Riverbend Homes is a member of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Texas Association of Builders (TAB). The company is also a certified builder with the Austin Energy Green Building Program.
Mr. Ben Neely, Owner and Spokesperson of Riverbend Homes, commented on the firm's approach to each project: "Every home is as unique as the owner, so being able to understand your vision to bring it to life is a big part of what we do. Our goal is to make the building process as fun and as painless as possible."
Clients who have worked with Riverbend Homes have shared their experiences. Dolores S. noted:
"We recommend Riverbend Homes for your next residence. Ben and Blake have good chemistry and are very approachable and accessible. They have good ideas for making your home match your dreams, while staying within your budget. During these times of volatility, they won't leave you hanging. Wonderful first-time building experience."
Chris C. added:
"A builder with integrity that values the customers opinions and needs for the project. It was a great experience working with Riverbend Homes and we love our home."
Luke shared a similar perspective:
"Front start to finish, Ben had excellent attention to every aspect of our home while still maintaining a high level of craftsmanship. We were always kept up to date on our homes progress. So many people dread the process of building a new home, but Ben made it easy and fun to watch our designs come to life. We're so glad we trusted Riverbend Homes to build our new beautiful home."
